...MAJOR WINTER STORM NORTHWEST OF THE FOX VALLEY TONIGHT AND SUNDAY...

.A powerful winter storm will move from eastern Iowa to northern
Lake Michigan overnight and bring heavy snow to north central
Wisconsin and a band of significant mixed precipitation from
central through far northeast Wisconsin.

Strong west winds are expected Sunday as the storm center continues
to intensify and move slowly away. Winds are expected to gust to 55
mph in the Fox Valley and lakeshore counties, and to 40 to 50 mph
elsewhere. The strong winds will create blowing and drifting snow
in areas that receive significant snowfall tonight. The winds could
also bring down ice coated tree branches and wires in central and
northeast Wisconsin and cause power outages.
