A little more about Joe...
Joe was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Briefly spent time in El Paso, TX and spent the majority of his life in Pekin, IL. As a young child, Joe hated thunderstorms and would be terrified of them and would watch The Weather Channel to see when the storms would be over, but a weather event changed his perception about severe weather. A F3 tornado hit South Pekin, IL on May of 2004 and devastation Joe saw made him go into Meteorology. Joe went on to Western Illinois University where he received his B.S. in Meteorology and his M.A. in Geography.
What are your favorite sports to play? Football, baseball, and basketball.
What are your favorite sports teams? I am a huge Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals fan. I still have some love for the Texas Rangers from living in Texas. I follow my alma mater (yes, it is a Division I school). I still follow the Chicago Bulls from time to time, who wasn’t a Bulls fan in the 90s, and have been converted by my WIU Chicago friends to be a Chicago Blackhawks fan (good timing to be one especially how terrible they were in the early 2000s).
What kind of music do you enjoy? Rock, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. Some Jazz or Blues (thanks Dad). But no country or blue grass AT ALL.
Favorite Vacation Spot? Anywhere new. I have been to Puerto Rico (many times to see family), the Bahamas, St. Thomas, Cayman Islands, Honduras, Mexico, and several U.S. states (14).
If I won the lottery... what would I buy? Whatever is remaining from my student loans.
