A very inactive weather day today. Just the two weather events today across the US including some areas of patchy and dense fog in SE Texas, and moving to the Eastern part of the country, we are looking at some strong winds steady at 25 to 30 MPH and wind gusts as high as 50 MPH in the Western part of Virginia.
Starting with the dense fog in SE portions of Texas. Visibility will drop significantly to near 1/4 mile in areas West of Houston towards Columbus and Conroe. No advisory has been issued at this time, but if the situation changes one could be issued. Low temps will drop into the upper 50s to low 60s and fog may stick around through Monday morning.
Shifting attention to the wind advisory in Virginia, a strong cold front passing through the area has allowed winds to shift out of the NW to turn gusty along Blue Ridge and into the Foothills. Gusts could continue to increase in the morning and the early afternoon, especially in higher elevations. Wind gusts could be as high as 50 MPH in areas West of Lynchburg, VA.
Winds will start to fade by noon.
