US Weather Spotlight: 1-11-19

Winter storm moves into the southern Plains today producing widespread rain and snow. Snow accumulations are expected from the Colorado Rockies eastward through to southern IL and maybe southwestern parts of IN. The highest snow totals will occur in northern KS, central MO, and southern IL where some could get 6 or more inches by Saturday morning.

Elsewhere a trough of low pressure and cold front build towards the California coast today with rain chance making it to the Bay Area by afternoon and Los Angeles and San Diego overnight otherwise the rest of the country looks quiet.
