...POWERFUL LATE SEASON WINTER STORM TO IMPACT SOUTHEAST WYOMING MONDAY AND TUESDAY...
 
.A strong late season winter storm will move into the Rocky
Mountain region today bringing multiple rounds of heavy wet snow.
Accumulation in the mountains could be upwards of two feet in
some locations due to unusually cold air. Heavy wet snow could
also damage trees and power lines. Significant travel impacts are
expected with heavy snow accumulations in the higher terrain.
Snowlevels will lower to 5000 feet tonight resulting in some
travel impacts for the lower elevations.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON MDT TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Mix of rain and snow expected, changing to all snow
tonight. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches.
 
* WHERE...The Laramie valley and the northern Snowy Range
foothills including Elk Mountain and Arlington.
 
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon MDT Tuesday.
 
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions,
especially at night. The hazardous conditions could impact the
morning commute. Isolated power outages are possible due to the
weight of the heavy snow.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
