In New England, a few light showers will be possible today and again on Sunday as low-pressure systems move through eastern Canada.
Heading into the Southwest an upper low will be meandering around Baja California and will produce scattered showers and a few storms through the weekend in AZ and NM with some activity getting west into southern CA, north into UT and CO, and east into western TX and western OK.
Widespread freezes are anticipated as well early today across most of the Dakotas, then this threat moves further south and east on Saturday into much of the Midwest.
