Water and Ice Photo Feature Winner

Well, it was a stretch but we have our newest inductee into the wall of featured photographers. Our theme last week was Water and Ice, and Erik H. of Pekin, IL was chosen as our winner. Congratulations Erik! We got to chat with him and here's what he wanted to tell us about himself.

He graduated from Western IL University in Macomb, IL with a major in Emergency management and a minor in Geography focusing on meteorology. He was the first graduate of the new Emergency management program at the college. He currently works as a Security officer/EMT at the Paradice Casino in East Peroria, IL.

In his spare time, he volunteers with the Tazewell County Emergency Management Agency, as a storm spotter. He also enjoys chasing and spotting storms and other weather, is an avid collector of old coins and money, loves to travel, and is always on the hunt for the perfect weather photo.

Goals later in life are to work in the Emergency management and Disaster Response field full time and wants to make videos from major large scale storms and weather events.

Let's extend a Congratulations to Erik H of Pekin, IL!

So, we've had two winners so far and it's been a fun task picking the winners. We are currently seeking out our next weeks winner. Do you have what it takes? Check out our latest contest on the articles page and our Social media.
