Not much going on in the country through the weekend, just some rain in the southeast and northeast with pleasant conditions in-between.
First, in the southeast, a low-pressure system moves across FL today and tonight and continues northeast off the coast of the Carolinas over the weekend. This system will bring widespread rain along with a few storms to much of FL, southern GA, and far south SC today, lingering in northern FL and southern GA on Saturday long with mainly east of I-95 in the Carolins, and then lingering mainly early in the day on the coasts of the Carolinas and maybe far southeast VA on Sunday. Several inches of rain could accumulate in these regions before ending.
Next, in the Northwest energy continues to build into the region through the weekend resulting in periods of rain and snow in the higher elevations. Precipitation could get as far south as northern CA and as far east as western MT and northwest WY.
Finally, in the central part of the country, a very nice stretch of weather is expected with above-average highs from the High Plains to the Midwest and Mid Mississippi River Valley.
