A coastal low will continue to move close to the New England coast today ending up in eastern Canada later this evening. This system will continue to affect the north with steady rain -- gradually ending throughout the day -- and more scattered-type showers lingering well south through the Carolinas and into the Gulf Coast states. More snow will be associated with this system as well, with a general 1-3 inches possible for central and northern NY, and 4-10 inches possible in northern NH, northern VT, and western ME.

After a couple of dry days, a system heads into the Pacific Northwest late tonight, bringing back rain shower chances for western WA and northwestern OR.
